Match available: Double your donation!

Athens Conservancy announces a matching opportunity that will amplify the impact of your gift. Every donation made this fall to the Bluebell Fund or the Healthy Forest Fund will be matched dollar for dollar, thanks to a generous anonymous gift that makes this match possible. This is the third year that a purposeful match is available to double donations.

That means your contribution will go twice as far in support of Athens Conservancy’s work to protect and care for the forested lands in the Athens County area. The match is available only to donations to our Bluebell Fund (general, mission-centered use) and the Healthy Forest Fund (land stewardship). A matching pool of $50,000 is available to double donations.

Here’s how it works. Now through Dec. 31, 2026, or while resources last, donations will be matched $1 for every $1 donation made to the funds indicated. That means a $100 donation becomes a $200 donation. $250 becomes $500. And a $1,000 donation becomes a $2,000 donation.

The matching opportunity gives members and friends the chance to have a greater impact on protecting and caring for the precious lands around us, according to Kate Kelley, president of the board of directors. She says that Athens Conservancy’s mission and obligation are to protect special spaces and wild places forever, and that means building financial security for the future. By donating while we have a matching fund available, your gifts have an impact today and tomorrow, for this amazing region we call home.

Donations may be made online at AthensConservancy.org/donate or by mail by sending a check to Athens Conservancy, PO Box 2281, Athens, OH 45701.
