Annual Meeting focuses on The Ridges

Calling all members — please join us for the 2026 Annual Meeting! This year’s event starts at 1 pm on Sunday, Oct. 18, and will take place at The Ridges and at the nearby Dairy Lane Park pavilion. The afternoon is a celebration of The Ridges — including guided hikes, tours of art exhibitions related to Baker Preserve, and updates on our work to conserve land at The Ridges. A silent auction, barbecue meal, and meeting round out the fun. The event is free but we ask that you register with Eventbrite.

Here are some things to know:
• Gather at 1 pm. Park in lots 200 or 201 (purple on the Ohio University parking map) on the Ridges Circle Dr. We will be there to greet you and direct you to your choice of activities:
• Optional guided hikes will be offered on The Ridges trails. A shorter hike (description to come) and a longer hike (stay tuned) will explore The Ridges compound and trails.
• At the OHIO museum complex at The Ridges, optional tours of three exhibitions will be offered concurrently for groups of about 15 per tour. Exhibitions include the InHabitant Project, a collaboration with Digital Art + Technology and Environmental & Plant Biology at OU that combines ecological field observation with environmental data collection at Baker Preserve … and some pretty cool student “creature installations” made with 3D printing. A print exchange exhibition is also featured, along with a visit to the all-taxa biodiversity inventory collection of specimens from the Crane Hollow Nature Preserve.
• At just after 2 pm, we will direct our guests to walk down the hill to the Dairy Lane Pavilion, where you can enjoy perusing our silent auction offerings, a short program about our work this summer to help conserve over 500 acres of land at The Ridges, and a barbecue meal, awards, and our business meeting.

Be sure to register by Tuesday, Oct. 13, by filling out a free registration at Eventbrite here.
