Future Trail on the Canaan Preserve to be Named after a Founding Member of the Athens Conservancy
At our 2019 Annual Meeting we announced the upcoming creation of a new trail through the Canaan Preserve, which connects Strouds Run State Park with the Baker Preserve. This new connector, an essential stretch of trail for longer-distance hiking, will be named for, John Arthur Knouse, our visionary founding member.

Two grants from Ora E. Anderson Fund Support Conservancy Trail Projects
We are delighted to report that the Athens Conservancy received two grants totaling $7,955 this fall from the Ora E. Anderson Conservation Fund for Appalachian Ohio.
