Leaving a Legacy
Planned Giving

A planned gift is a way to support Athens Conservancy in the future through arrangements you make today.
You can choose to make a charitable gift part of your overall retirement or estate planning. This is a meaningful way to leave a powerful legacy and support land conservation for future generations. By making well-thought-out choices, you may be able to achieve your financial goals, reduce your tax burden by making Athens Conservancy the beneficiary, and make a significant contribution to a cause you love.
Please consult your financial advisor about the benefits and methods of making a planned gift and to find the options that are right for you.
Before you make an estate gift, or if you have already included us in your estate plans, please let us know so we can help you shape your legacy and graciously recognize you during your lifetime.

Bequests
When you arrange a gift to Athens Conservancy in your will or living trust, you are creating a personal legacy to support conservation and protect land for the future. You may want to insert a clause in your will to specify the donation of land, cash or other assets, or a conservation easement.
Here is suggested language that designates part of your estate as a gift to Athens Conservancy. Be sure to consult with your estate planning or legal professional.
I hereby give to The Athens Conservancy, a nonprofit Ohio public charity with a business address of PO Box 2281, Athens, OH 45701, and with a tax identification number of 32-0035073, the sum of $________________ (or otherwise describe the gift or assets) for its general purposes and use at the discretion of the Athens Conservancy Board of Directors.
