General and Area Maps

Where the format notes "USGS topo," this only means in the same style as USGS topographic maps, or topo with forest overlay. "Topo w/ color blocks" means no forest overlay, but color blocks for land ownership. For file size, kb = kilobytes; mb = megabytes. Although many of these are formatted in print sizes too large for home printers, it is possible to shrink their print size to print on letter or legal-sized paper, or to print just a portion of the map. Print size is given in inches. In print size, "Letter" is 8.5 x 11 inches; "Legal" is 8.5 x 14 inches; and "Tabloid" is 11 x 17 inches.
