The Utah Ridge Picnic Area is the only small stand-alone picnic area near Athens, Ohio. It is located on Utah Ridge Road, well embedded within the Wayne National Forest. It will be connected to a series of mountain biking trails in the near future.

Directions

To reach the Utah Ridge Picnic Area, take US-33 west from Athens, 6.0 miles from its intersection with Columbus Road / OH-550, to New Floodwood Road. Turn right on New Floodwood Road (keep to the right) and go 1.4 miles up the hill to Utah Ridge Road on your left and Coal Run Road on your right. Go 1.6 miles to the left on Utah Ridge Road to the picnic area entrance on your right (you'll pass a crossroads with West Bailey Road at 1.25 miles).
