The Stone Church Horse Trails are the only horse trails within the Athens District of the Wayne National Forest. The entire system is 15 miles long, wholly within the Wayne, Part of this trail system, along the southern side, is shared trailway with the BENCAD Trail.

The Stone Church Horse Trail area includes a horse camp.

Directions

To reach the Stone Church Trailhead from Athens, take OH-13 north 20 miles from US-33 to Ohio State Route 155 in Corning. Turn left and take OH-155 7.3 miles to Shawnee, where it ends, and the road becomes Ohio State Route 93. Continue on OH-93 1.35 miles to Old Town Road, which will be on the left. Turn left on Old Town Road and go 1.2 miles. Total driving distance from downtown Athens to the trailhead: 29.8 miles.
