Ever wonder who’s at the helm of Athens Conservancy?
As part of our website refresh, we’ve added a Board & Staff page. It spotlights our 14 board members and two staffers so you can get to know us a little bit!
The Conservancy elects board members to serve two-year terms, which may be extended. Board members meet as a group at least monthly, and are dedicated to carrying out all of the Conservancy’s initiatives and activities.
Board members volunteer their time, and range from professors and parents to environmentalists, educators, avid birdwatchers and hikers, and local leaders. One thing they all share is a love of the outdoors and a commitment to preserving wild and scenic places in Athens County and surrounding areas.
Board members are always open to hearing your thoughts and ideas about the Conservancy and our preserves. Feel free to reach out to any of them!
