(Slideshow) A hearty thank you goes to all of our members and friends who ventured out on a blustery October evening for our Annual Meeting! More than 50 of you joined us for the first in-person annual gathering in three years, warming up with a Wetland Walk, crackling fires in two fire pits, a hearty potluck, and our year-in-review presentations. Little Fish Brewing Co. in Athens provided the perfect backdrop.
Here are a few photos from the Oct. 17 event – a big thank you goes to our Wetland Walk leaders. Gary Conley and Joe Brehm provided insights about the creation of the city’s wetland; Donna Goodman talked about the unique Art Bench; and Phil Cantino discussed the many bird species that are attracted to the small wetland, especially as they migrate through Southeastern Ohio.
Most of all, thank you to all who support Athens Conservancy throughout the year. Your friendship, involvement, and donations are what make it possible for us to continue our efforts to preserve the precious lands in and around Athens.
